If there’s an epithet to be had, Savion Glover has earned it. From “Best tap dancer alive today” to “Best tap dancer of all time”, Glover is truly the King of Tap. With gravity-defying rhythm and inventive sounds, “A Classical Encounter with Savion Glover” seems to achieve the impossible: a continuous flow of percussive taps with the subtlest of moves. Also known for being one of the greatest improvisational tap dancers, this evening of sound to dance and dance to sound invites the educated ear on a ride through dance like only Mr. Glover can conduct.
